BON JOVI invited
their close friends, family and the entire staff of
their record
label to a kick off party at New York City's Manhattan

and got to

Cool things
to know:
*Jon left
the stage during "Born To Be My Baby" to make a pitstop...
a fan (actually,
a NJ DJ) lived out his rock star dream and took
Jon's place
to perform the song with the band! When Jon finally
returned to
the stage, he let his stand-in continue singing and sat
on the drum-riser
playing tambourine!
*Taking a
request from the floor, Jon and David broke into a Lounge
Lizard version
of "Runaway"
*The guys
had a helluva lot of fun!!!
JON BON
JOVI: WORK, WORK, WORK, PRESS, PRESS, PRESS
JON BON JOVI
attended NEW YORK GIANTS team practice at GIANTS STADIUM
on Tuesday,
August 27th. Arriving by helicopter, when JON arrived on
the field
he was swarmed by a huge number of press folks... all the
major entertainment
outlets cover the event, as did all the major
sports outlets,
as well as local NY/NJ/CT crews and national TV
crews. JON
hung out with the players and Coach Jim Fassel before the
team debuted
a new play, BLUE 21 BOUNCE, named in honor of Jon (a
die-hard NY
Giants fan) and the new BON JOVI album, BOUNCE. Jon ran
the play (trust
us - he had fun but the Giants won't be signing him
anytime soon!)
and then spent the next hour or so hanging with the
players and
talking with all the media on hand. Then he headed inside
the stadium
and did an in depth interview with Chris Connelly for
ESPN. Jon
rounded out the day with hours and hours of phone
interviews,
radio interviews and on-camera filmed interviews.

"WH4T'S N3W"
NEW STUDIO
ALBUM 'BOUNCE' SET TO HIT THE ROOF INTERNATIONALLY ON
SEPTEMBER
23rd 2002... (Copy of official press release issued today
in the UK)
BON JOVI's
glorious new studio album 'Bounce' is now confirmed for
international
launch on September 23rd - 12 signature compositions,
ballads &
rockers alike, tapping into the classic narrative style at
the heart
of some of the biggest Bon Jovi hits... The album will come
out on October
8 in the US.
Recorded by
the US outfit in their home state of New Jersey, the
hotly- anticipated
'Bounce' - released via Island - sees Jon Bon Jovi
& guitarist
Richie Sambora pooling production duties with Luke Ebbin,
the man first
brought into the fold for previous album 'Crush' (2000)
- a double-platinum
Stateside smash and an eight-million seller
worldwide.
In lead single
'It's My Life', 'Crush' delivered a song that cut
straight to
the core of the band's appeal, and new album numbers such
as 'Joey',
'Misunderstood' & lead track/video 'Everyday' are even
clearer evidence
of the four - Bon Jovi, Sambora, David Bryan & Tico
Torres - showing
just how powerful rock'n'roll can be when it's
served up
straight from the source, free from the confines of fashion
& fad...
With mix-maestro
Bob Clearmountain adding the final studio magic,
'Bounce' -
the group's eighth studio release - is as cool a slice of
the BJ experience
as it's possible to get beyond the walls of an
arena - the
perfect showcase for a record-making, record-breaking,
Grammy-nominated
act who, 100 million albums and more than 2,000
shows down
the line, continue to stir up the senses in a potent way.
2001's 'One
Wild Night' - BJ's live debut and a two million-seller -
showed that
some guys do indeed do it better with the lights off, and
later this
year the 'international road mode' button is due to be
pressed once
again. To date, 31 million people in 47 different
countries
have witnessed Bon Jovi live and in the flesh; the next few
months will
see those incredible figures seriously starting to grow...

Bon Jovi go
for global message in new video Bon Jovi will make a global
statement
on their next video "Everyday".
The band perform
beneath a series of satellite dishes on location in
Socorro, New
Mexico in the middle of the desert. The 27 dishes are part of
the world's

The video was
shot as a thunderstorm approached and all non-essential staff
were evacuated
because of the threat of electrocution from the lightening.
The shot was
done in just the presence of the director, the cameraman and
the band.
The satellite
dishes will represent a global message being sent out around
the world
as the band plays. For authenticity, three additional cameramen
were dispatched
to various countries around the world to capture footage for
the video.
There is no computer generated images in the entire clip.

Update 5
June 2002
BON JOVI:
ZOOTOPIA 411
The Z-100 crowd
did NOT know what hit them! Z-100 is a
local NY/NJ/CT
radio station and they hosted a massive multi-act
radio concert
at NJ's GIANTS STADIUM last nite (June 2nd). The band actually did
their soundcheck
late on Saturday night at the stadium. The show
itself started
at 5:40 PM llast night when PINK took the stage...
before Bon
Jovi performed, the crowd witnessed sets by Marc Anthony,
Nick &
Aaron Carter, Alanis Morrisette, Goo Goo Dolls, Celine Dion
and others.
The members of Bon Jovi arrived during the show (some by
car and some
by helicopter) and rushed into their dressing room
(which was
actually the NY JETS locker room!) Waiting for them were
gifts from
the NY Giants (personally delivered by Coach Jim Fassel)
which included
a customized NY Giants home jersey with Bon Jovi and
the number
one on the back (it was custom-made to fit Jon without the
shoulder pads!)
Before the band took the stage, PINK paid a visit to
the dressing
room after her performance. Before the band was due to
take the stage,
they were hanging out in the dressing room watching
the L.A. LAKERS
basketball game on TV. When it was time for Bon Jovi
to hit the
stage at 9pm, the sun had set, the night had fallen and it
was nice &
cool outside.
The Z-100 Morning
Zoo on-air staff introduced the NY Yankees
(Including
David Wells, Jay Spencer, Roger Clemens, Jason Giambi,
Steve Karsay,
Jay Van der Wal and others) to a roar of the crowd...
then, David
Wells took the mike and introduced "NEW JERSEY'S FINEST:
BON JOVI"
and the stadium EXPLODED!!! The band broke into YOU GIVE
LOVE A
BAD NAME and that crowd did not know what hit them. Everyone
was up - dancing,
singing, taking part in the show. There was a
Z-shaped catwalk
jutting out from downstage center that extended into
a small GA
pit. Jon strutted on that catwalk and interacted with the
crowd and
the whole place was just on fire (in fact, BON JOVI shot
off fireworks
twice during their mini-set!) After BAD NAME, the band
performed
IT'S
MY LIFE, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE (Jon
did announce
it as "All rise, for the playing of our national
anthem...")
and BAD MEDICINE. Jon had the crowd in the palm of his
hand - everyone
in that stadium... if they weren't there to see Bon
Jovi were
now converted fans. The band stole the show! Finally, since
Jon claimed
it was a tease only being allowed to do a handful of
songs... he
tore off his denim jacket to reveal a white NJ NETS Jason
Kidd autographed
home game jersey that had been rhinestoned by hand
for the show...
and broke into SHOUT (doing the intro from the
Z-Catwalk.)
It is an amazing site to see everyone in that stadium
dancing and
singing along, jumping up and down to the song... from
the very front,
all the way back, to far reaches of the stadium, to
the very top
row... BON JOVI rocked that crowd. And then, Jon said
"see you soon"
and bid farewell as the band finished out the song.
(After Bon
Jovi, the crowd were treated to performances by P. Diddy,
Mary J. Blige,
Fat Joe and Shakira, who closed the show.)
The band left
the stage and headed back into their dressing room...
and it was
THE dressing room everyone wanted to be in. For starters,
Z-100 ran
a contest that gave one grand prize winner the opportunity
to see the
show and meet the band... and to bring 15 of her closest
friends. The
winner turned out to be a girl from Jon's hometown of
Sayreville,
NJ and she was beyond excited by the entire experience.
MICHELLE BRANCH
even stopped by to meet the band. All the NY YANKEES
who had been
onstage to introduce the band were now hanging out
backstage...
and then the local heros joined the party. Members of
the NBA Championship
Series-bound NEW JERSEY NETS joined BON JOVI in
their dressing
room to hang out. JASON KIDD was ushered in and Jon
retrieved
the one-of-a-kind jersey he wore during the performance and
presented
it to Jason's wife, Joumana, as a gift. It was a VERY cool
night... was
when it was time to go, the band got a police escort out
and were off
to finish up work on the album.
For all of
you who were there, we're sure you had a kick-ass time.
For those
of you who couldn't attend, we hope we filled you in on
some of the
info! (Richie was wearing a sleeveless black t-shirt and
a black cowboy
hat with red stones along the rim, plus his Sambora
necklace....
) If you head over to www.z100.com you can see some of
the live shots
taken during the show. And, if you head over to
www.wireimage.com,
you'll see even more live shots plus a slew of
backtage shots
showing the guys with the athletes who were hanging
out in the
dressing room. (remember: Wire Image is a professional
service so
you can only view the images in the small format they're
initially
shown in however, these are the photos that media outlets
run in newspapers
& magazines so they could turn up in larger
formats...
keep an eye out!)
Just a small
dose of Bon Jovi... before the regular IV drip of Bon
Jovi begins
later this summer! Are you READY?

Bon Jovi
Head Into Studio To Begin Recording Bounce
New York, NY-- International superstars,
Bon Jovi head back in to the
studio this week to begin recording
their new album, Bounce. Bounce
is being co-produced by Jon Bon
Jovi and Richie Sambora along with
Luke Ebbin, the same team responsible
for the multi-platinum Crush.
The band is recording the album
in New Jersey and it is slated for a
late Fall release.
Bounce is the follow up to Bon Jovi's
incredibly successful album,
Crush which sold 8 million copies
worldwide (certified double
platinum in the U.S.), spawned the
hit singles, "It's My Life" and
"Thank You For Loving Me" and earned
the group their first ever
Grammy nominations for "Best Rock
Album" and "Best Rock Performance
by Duo or Group" for "It's My Life".
The band embarked on a sold-out
world tour that spanned 2000 and
2001, playing nearly 100 concerts in
18 countries for more than 3 million
fans. The tour culminated with a
two night sold-out homecoming at
N.J.'s Giants Stadium. The shows
aired on VH-1 and was the highest
rated concert event in the
network's history. In addition,
Bon Jovi released their first-ever
live album last year, One Wild Night:
Live 1985-2001 which has sold
over 2 million copies to date.
The members of Bon Jovi have taken
part in some very high profile
events this year. In the wake of
the September 11th attacks, Jon Bon
Jovi and Richie Sambora performed
as part of the "America: A Tribute
to Heroes" telethon while the full
band performed at the VH-1
"Concert for New York" in October
at NYC's Madison Square Garden.
Both events have been released on
CD, DVD and VHS. Bon Jovi also took
part in the "Alliance For Neighbors"
concerts which benefited
families living near the band members'
hometowns who were affected by
the World Trade Center attacks.
In December, Jon and Richie performed
a rousing rendition of "Here Comes
the Sun" as a tribute to the late
George Harrison at the 2001 My VH1
Awards, before winning the award
for "Hottest Live Act". In February,
Bon Jovi once again wowed a
global audience with their amazing
performance at the Closing
Ceremonies of the Salt Lake City
2002 Winter Olympic Games.

BON JOVI
Rock the Olympics!!
BON JOVI took
the global stage at the CLOSING CEREMONIES for the 2002
WINTER OLYMPIC
GAMES last night at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in SALT LAKE
CITY, UTAH
as part of the celebration to commemorate the official end of
the competition.
Following performances by N'SYNC, KISS, Harry Connick,
Jr, Moby,
Christina Aguilera, it was BON JOVI that brought down the
house.
BON JOVI were the grand finale to the Closing Ceremonies,
performing
their worldwide anthem IT'S MY LIFE. Jon Bon Jovi wrapped
himself in
the American flag while performing the song, watching Olympic
athletes dancing
and singing along in the crowd. Following BON JOVI's
performance,
more than 10,000 fireworks went off in one of the largest
pyrotechnic
displays ever in the United States. While the international
broadcast
of the show ended on a high note with BON JOVI's performance,
many markets
in the U.S. went directly into their local late-night news
before returning
to MORE footage of the Closing Ceremonies. Those
within viewing
range watch BON JOVI kick-off the recap footage with a
performance
of YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, featuring a guest appearance by
former San
Francisco 49r quarterback STEVE YOUNG providing additional
vocals on
the chorus. All in all, BON JOVI were the perfect ambassadors
for the U.S.
(their homeland) to the rest of the world (where so many of
their fans
reside.)
Some things
you maybe didn't know about the trip:
Did you know
Jon and Richie flew in on a private jet from LA? And that
they were
required to stop in Las Vegas for a security check before even
being allowed
to fly into the Salt Lake City area? Did you know that
Tico's drumkit
was custom-made and is now up for auction on Ebay? Did
you kmow that
Steve Young has hung out with the band before? He was
backstage
before and after the concert in San Jose in April 2001 and
watched the
whole concert from the side of the stage that night? Did
you know he's
in the Wanted
Dead or Alive 2001? Did you know that the next Summer
Olympics are
going to be in Athens, Greece (the home of the original
Olympics)
in 2004? Did you know that the next Winter Olympics are going
to be in Torino,
Italy in 2006?

Bryan Donates His Time *
================================
DAVE BRYAN
DONATES HIS TIME & TALENT TO SAVE THE MUSIC.
Tuesday, FEBRUARY
19th, was a really very special and incredible
night of music
in New York City. DAVID BRYAN has dreamed of an
evening to
benefit VH-1 SAVE THE MUSIC and hoped he could host it at
STEINWAY HALL
- and it became a reality. DAVE BRYAN (along with John
Sykes, the
President of VH-1 and CMT) hosted AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH
THE FRIENDS
OF VH-1 SAVE THE MUSIC at the legendary Steinway Hall in
Manhattan.
Less than 100
invited guests attended the private recital which was
held to draw
attention to the SAVE THE MUSIC PROGRAM. There was food
& drink
for all before the evening's program began. JOHN SYKES and
BOB MORRISON
(head of SAVE THE MUSIC) addressed the audience on the
topic of the
program's goals and successes before introduced an
example of
that success.
DAVID BRYAN
spoke briefly about his musical education and his
involvement
in the SAVE THE MUSIC program. In addition to auctioning
off front
row seats to each BON JOVI concert in the U.S. on the 2000
CRUSH and
2001 ONE WILD NIGHT TOURS, DAVID would teach MASTER CLASSES
on his days
off during the tour. Originally classically trained,
DAVID would
go to elementary schools in cities around the country and
teach the
children about music. He's discuss his career, perform on
the piano
and challenge the kids to succeed just like he did. DAVID
then took
his seat at the grand piano and performed his compositions
APRIL and
IT'S A LONG ROAD. In between songs, he joked that in rock
'n' roll all
you get to do is "these chords" - and he played the
intro to IT'S
MY LIFE a few times! He said he was happily to show off
a little more!
Then, DAVE asked the four sixth-grade musicians to
join him for
a group jam on the Bon Jovi song, IN THESE ARMS (and it
kicked butt!.)
The event was
a huge success for the SAVE THE MUSIC program and a
huge personal
accomplishment for DAVID. DAVID was in heaven Tuesday
night. With
wife April in attendance, not only did he witness the
event he'd
planned become a reality, but as a 40th birthday present,
April gave
him the very Steinway piano he had used to perform upon at
the event.
DAVE had dreamt of owning his own Steinway since he was 9
years old
and now he would have one. And, David had the piano signed
by Mr. Steinway
himself (the last living member of the Steinway
family that
have been crafting the pianos.) David was at Steinway
Hall earlier
in the month sampling pianos for more than 4 hours
before he
picked the one he wanted for his own. It was a dream come
true for Dave.
He was practically giddy after the event - it exceeded
his dreams.
This was one very happy man.
DAVID BRYAN
has been very involved throughout the past two years with
SAVE THE MUSIC.
He's conducted "master classes" at elementary schools
in several
U.S. cities where he played music and took questions from
children about
the piano, his musical background and his career. For

BON JOVI
& MY VH-1 AWARDS 2001
The morning after... and we can
celebrate! BON JOVI took home the MY VH-1 MUSIC AWARD for HOTTEST LIVE
SHOW!!!! But we'll get to that. JON BON JOVI arrived at the Shrine Auditorium
and gave an interview to Isaac Hayes and VH-1's Rebecca Rankin along the
red carpet and gave away the big secret: JON & RICHIE were now opening
the show... When the show began, the entire venue was dark except for spotlights
on a small stage where Jon and Richie were sitting on stools. Richie had
his double-neck acoustic guitar (and the guys were accompanied by two cellists.)
And then the first notes of "HERE COMES THE SUN" were plucked on Richie's
guitar and the crowd in the theatre and at home realized Jon & Richie
were paying tribute to the late George Harrison. Jon & Richie sang
as black & white images of George Harrison's career played on a large
screen behind them. And as the performance ended, Jon said "we'll miss
you, George." Jon and Richie were asked personally to play and were honored
to pay tribute like this. And then the proper awards show was underway.
JON & RICHIE sat out in the crowd
the whole night. Heather Locklear was sitting next to Richie. Between Jon
and Richie was Luke Ebbin, their co-producer on CRUSH (and the same producer
they're currently working with on the demos for the next album.) The first
award they were nominated for was My Favorite Group (Dave Matthews Band
took that award home.) During the show, Eric McCormack spoke briefly with
JBJ from his seat and questioned him on the dangers of leather pants...
JON & RICHIE took the stage to present the award "Damn, I Wish I Wrote
That Song" and gave the statuette to Dave Matthews. Gary Sinise and Kim
Delaney were the presenters for the award HOTTEST LIVE SHOW and BON JOVI
WON! JON & RICHIE got up to accept the award. Jon's thank yous were
brief - he thanked VH-1, he thanked THE FANS, he thanked THE FAN CLUB and
said the award was for the BON JOVI ROAD CREW who made sure the band put
on the best show possible.

November 21st
THE RETURN
OF BON JOVI TV (BJTV)!!!
So BON JOVI are heading back into
the recording studio to begin work on the next band album... last time,
fans were able to watch the making of CRUSH via web cameras set up in the
studio and linked to this site. They were on the minute the guys went into
the studio in the morning until the minute the left (the footage was replayed
overnight for fans in different time zones around the globe to view.) It
was an overwhelming success - lots of you tuned in to watch the guys work
(although sometimes, the footage wasn't the most enthralling and your internet
bills skyrocketed.)
YES! BON JOVI TV is returning for
the making of the new BON JOVI album, but this year it will be different.
For the first demo session, instead of full-time access with web cams in
the studio, we'll have an EPISODE from the studio (much like the "Reports
from The Road" this summer while the guys were on tour.) In
fact, OBIE is going to be the host. He's taking his videocamera to
work with him and capturing the footage from the first batch of demo sessions.
Once they're edited, we'll get them up here on www.bonjovi.com
for you all to watch... we're going quality over quantity of footage
from the studio. Plus, fans all over the world can watch them whenever
they want. Keep checking back here for details - and once we've
got the first episode ready for you, we'll let you know!!!

This has been an amazing two years
since we began the recording of CRUSH. To all those folks who have been
around forever, you got to say, "I told you so," and we get to say THANK
YOU. For those of you who just found the band with CRUSH, I say "welcome."
We're demo-ing songs for the new album with Luke Ebbin and hope it'll be
out September 2002.

News on
the next Bon Jovi album!
Bon Jovi Want To Help Nation Bounce
Back With Next Album
They've never really suffered from
writer's block, but Bon Jovi have become especially prolific since the
September 11 terrorist attacks.
The band has written 25 new songs
since June (see "Bon Jovi's Future Holds Vampire-Slaying, Another LP"),
and many of them have come over the past month. In addition, Bon Jovi have
assembled the skeletons of many other tunes.
"How can you not have a creative
period with all this emotional stuff going on?" guitarist Richie Sambora
said Saturday backstage at the Concert for New York. "If you're a writer,
you take all that stuff in. Music is a mirror of what the times are. You
take stuff in and it comes back out."
While the new album won't come out
until the middle of next year, frontman Jon Bon Jovi said it will probably
be called Bounce.
"The name pretty much personifies
what this country is going through," he said. "We bounce back. There's
a song called 'Still Standing' and one called 'Another Reason to Believe,'
so it's pretty obvious what the stories are about."
At a time when many artists are looking
at the dark side of life, Bon Jovi continue to focus on the light. Instead
of succumbing to fear, the band wants to celebrate the resilience and vitality
of the human spirit.
"We're really into writing optimistic,
upbeat, pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps kinds of songs," he says. "I
wish we could have played them at the Concert for New York because they're
very fitting for the occasion. I can't wait to get back in the studio."
Not that the entire album will be
a feel-good affair.
"There's some sad stuff that's coming
out, too," Sambora said. "You can't help that when something like this
happens. But I think the optimistic songs will live on, where I think the
sad songs will sort of paint a picture in time."
The band will continue working on
the record after Jon Bon Jovi heads to Los Angeles on November 1 to start
working on "Ally McBeal," a project he put off for a month in order to
play various benefit concerts (see "Bon Jovi Puts 'Ally McBeal' On Hold
To Play Benefits"). On the show, he'll assume the role of a working-class
man he likens to the seductive house painter he played in 1995's "Moonlight
and Valentino." Bon Jovi will remain with the cast for nine episodes, finishing
on Valentine's Day.
"I'm doing it as a way for my movie
career to continue to grow," he admitted. "When I agreed to do it, I didn't
know we'd be this far along with making the record. If I could go into
the studio today, I would."
But if Bon Jovi is reluctant to focus
more on "Ally" than on the band, Sambora welcomes the chance to continue
working on the album in his hometown.
"I'm just glad that he's gonna be
out on the West Coast," Sambora said with a laugh, "so I don't have to

Bon Jovi are set to begin tracking
their eighth album and follow-up to 2000's comeback success, Crush. For
the album, tentatively titled "Bounce," the band will again call on their
Crush cohort Luke Ebbin to co-produce (alongside singer Jon Bon Jovi and
guitarist Richie Sambora), in Los Angeles' Henson (formerly A&M) Studios
and at Sanctuary, Bon Jovi's home studio in New Jersey. Thus far they've
penned twenty-six songs -- among them the front-runner for leadoff single,
"Everyday" -- and expect to write considerably more before the process
is through (sixty tracks were written for Crush). No firm release date
has been set, but Jon Bon Jovi says he's

In another new tune, "One," he sings,
"That was my brother lost in the
rubble
That was my sister lost in that
crush
Those were our mothers
Those were our children
Those were our fathers
That was each of us
A million prayers to God above
A million tears make an ocean of
one."
Not surprisingly, the events of that
day marked a major turning point for Bon Jovi, something he hopes the band's
new album will reflect. "People are going to finally stop and take notice
of the wasted time we've spent over the last |
