I became a fan after seeing Bon Jovi in 1985 (I think) They were opening for Ratt. After that I was hooked.  Finally in June 1987 they came to a nearby city (Knoxville, TN) My best friend and I had a plan, we found out from a local radio DJ that most bands that played that venue stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, so we made reservations there.

Finally the BIG day arrived we drove Knoxville and checked in, only to find that opening act Cinderella was staying there, which was good too but, not the same.  We were disappointed but not discouraged, we found out they were staying at the Hilton across town.  So after the show (which was great) we went to their hotel. After waiting awhile Bon Jovi finally arrived!  Jon was even better looking in person.  I asked for a picture and his autograph he was very nice and signed my  Slippery When Wet shirt (while I was wearing it!) and had his picture taken with us.

We weren't ready for it to end so went back to our hotel and changed clothes, fixed our hair and make-up and went back.  And there Jon was again I couldn't believe our luck.  We got another picture and he was very sweet I'm sure he was tired after the show but he didn't seem to mind.  As we were leaving we saw Tico coming out of the bar.  So we asked him for a picture.  He was great he asked some guy to take it for us.  Then the camera jammed Tico took it and messed with it for a minute and it worked.  That was one of the best nights of my life.

Its been 12 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday.  I'm now 31 years old, married and have 2 kids but when Bon Jovi go on tour again I'll be there!!!!!
