When Mike met Jon Bon Jovi...Well, here's my story of how I finally met Jon. Bon Jovi was my first rock concert and I will never forget that day, the year was 1987 Slippery When Wet tour and they ROCKED, anyways, for some reason from that point on I wanted to meet Jon, just to shake his hand would be awesome!!! Well I live in Cleveland, Ohio and last July the radio station here (WMMS 100.7) was running a contest to have breakfast with Jon Bon Jovi at the radio station, and watch him perform live on the air from the studio. Well needless to say after as much bugging the radio station as I did for the 3 days till he was to show up, I was one of the lucky 10 people to go down to the station :-)It was 7:20 am Wednesday July 30,
1997 and my dream was about to come true after 10 years of waiting! Jon
came into the room and started at one end and met with everybody there
one by one, My girlfriend and I got to spend a good 5-6 minutes talk ing
to him, he even signed all 6 things I took to get signed, even though they
told him "come on you got to go live on the air now", "there's no time
for you take a picture with them" Jon replied----"hold on, if they want
a picture, I’m gonna take a picture with them, don’t rush me----thanks
for coming guys". I thought that was so cool that he did that!!! And I
got to shake the hand of one of my all-time favorite rock stars.
