Well, where do I start. When Jon came to Australia to promote his solo album, I knew I had to meet him this time. I've been a BJ fan for 11 years. And on October 23rd, 1997, it finally happened!!! Actually, twice!!!!! My friends, Sam, Effie and Rachel all met him in the lobby of the Hotel Como in Melbourne, Australia. We were staying there too. It was 12.40am after the Melbourne concert. Patrick, Jon’s bodyguard came around the corner and Effie shrieked and I began to tell her it’s only Patrick but then I saw Jon's fringe behind him!!! We all stood still, glued to our spots, not saying a word! Jon was walking passed us and he said, Hey girls! and I thought I have to say something because he’ll just walk right by. I finally opened my mouth and said, ‘Jon I know you are really tired but I’ve been a fan for 11 years and a photo would be so great!’ He turned and looked at me,then at his bodyguard, Patrick. Patrick said, ‘Okay, girls quick, photo time!’ I was so thrilled. All us girls were stunned and Jon was so tired he wasn't smiling either, so Patrick said, 'Smiles, people!' and we did!!! As Jon walked away, I thanked him for both Sydney and Melbourne concerts and he turned around and gave me a huge smile and a thumbs up! I was in heaven!

Then 10 hrs later, I was in the lobby with another friend and we saw him again. So I got to meet him for the second time in one day and get another photo, this time just Jon and me! It was a long time coming but I finally did it! I still can’t believe it. I have to look at the photos just to make sure!
