When Amy met Jon Bon Jovi...

A few years ago, I met John at a car race, Indianapolis 500 time trials.  I'm pretty young for a fan, and at the time I was only about seven years old.  (This is like 1992 alright!)  My dad's company always gets a suite at the race, so we were hanging out back there.  They had a barbique and some food laying out.  I got a cup, and went to get some lemonaid.  The table was pretty tall (remember I'm only like seven here!) and I couldn't quite reach the lemonaid.

All of a sudden, this guy comes out of no where, and asks me if i needed any help.  I was kind of confused, and all I said was, "Um...ok."  So, he picked me up, and put me on the table.  I guess I looked scared or something because he said something along the lines of, "It's alright, whats wrong?"  And then told me his name and everything, and asked what mine was.  He had on this sort of animal tooth had, and for a seven year old, it was pretty scary.  I didnt say anything, but he took it off, and set it on a chair.  He then filled my glass up with some lemonaid, and handed me the glass.  He asked me if I need help with anything else, and I said no.  He then picked me up off the table.  I thanked him, he kissed me on the cheek, and he walked me over to my dad and sister.

My dad then had a really long conversation with him, about I dont even know what!  After about a half hour of them talking, John left.  My dad (who isnt a big music fan) then told me he was Jon bon Jovi.  Ofcourse at the time, being 7 and 9 years old, my sister and I just replied with "Who?"  The rest of the day we walked around Indy 500.

Later on we saw John again, he said Hi to my dad, and then said "Hey Angel" to me, and picked me up, and carried me, while he talked to my dad again (dont ask me why he kept talking to my dad, my dad isnt that interesting of a guy!).  I still at the time was very confused about who he was, but now looking back at it, am STOKED that it all happened.  Then, he said he was going back to his hotel or something, kissed me on the cheek, hugged my sister, and told my dad he'd see him next weekend.  (There were two different races I guess)  So, ofcourse my dad hung out with him the next weekend, and I didnt go though.
