BON JOVI live at the House of Blues
Chicago, 4 May 2000

well it all started with a 7 hour drive from Ohio to Chicago. :) and well worth it.  we left that morning very early.. then we got ready and also got lost ... (that has to happen every time or it wouldn't be fun)...we got there around 1 pm and there were about 25 people in line already not too bad.. we stood there for about 6 hours.. and of course my nerves were shot.. all the excitement and tiredness from driving and not sleeping..

We also hooked up with a friend of mine that came with his girlfriend up from Kansas city.. and at 7:00 they opened the doors.. well we went in I snuck my camera in and did get a few pics but not many.. and mike (my friend) got us right next to the stage right in front of Richie :))) (wooo hooo) I also took my license plate that says "Sambora" and he just smiled.. :)))))

They opened with prayer a very energetic version the crowd was hopping ;) and singing and just giving back what they were giving us 110%.  then they also did Bad Name they sounded great.. and it was so cool. to know all the words to the new songs they did.. (we had an advanced copy to practice with) .  Then came, It's my life ... WOOOO HOOOO.. David saw us singing and was smiling so big.. Richie dug the license plate also.. :))) then Jon introduced Say it isn't so.. we screamed of course :) and sang along.. then the crowd got back into it with lay your hands on me.. Jon was saying can I trust you.. pointing to the crowd.. and then he jumped off into the crowed.. I was like ohh my god.. I cant believe he just did that..lol.. and then he came to our side (quite a lot) and was singing.. and just having such a great time.. they all seemed happy.. :)) then he did Just Older.. (still singing along) and people were looking at us like how do you know that.. ( I love that when people do that..lol..)

then he told the story about Thank you for loving me.. and it was so quiet cause people were listening to what he was saying and when he introduced the song "this is Thank you for loving me" well me and Mandy screamed really loud and he just stopped and smiled.. then began singing...then they did next 100 years..( that one I love on the CD but I have to get used to it live)  then someday ill be Saturday night. and ill sleep when im dead/papa was a rolling stone/ jumping jack flash. then Faith.. then Jon said good night and thank you for coming.. He also introduced the band first it was RICHIE and I held up my plate again and they smiled.. then TICO and of course every one screamed.. then he came to DAVID and was saying that he is a proud papa and that he just had a baby girl 3 days ago (may 1st) and Jon said yea 3 minutes of pleasure and 9 months of pain..lol.. and David was like don't I look good..lol..then he introduced HUEY and everyone went nuts.. and of course he did himself. and he also did the "have you seen any good movies lately" and that was it for the acting thing.. it was all about MUSIC of the BAND.. and it was GREAT...

WWWWElllll of course that wasn't it.. they came back and did wanted and bad medicine/shout and Jon kept saying im getting too old for this I have to go.. and we kept screaming.. the place was packed and jumping..  also there was so much energy in the place.  and the floor kept bouncing along with the people I was just hoping that the floor wouldn't break..lol.. I mean can you imagine.. all these people laying on top of each other.. cause the floor collapsed.. that would be horrible.  the place was packed.. Bon Jovi had bought out the balcony section for the record company people and I have no idea what concert the editors for Chicago was at but it wasn't Bon Jovi cause they ROCKED and I can not wait to see them in Rhode Island, Indiana, and New York..

well I hope you guys liked my story. Just a reminder BUY the album when it is released.. ;))

Faith Always
