Finally…the waiting was over and it was time for Bonjovis first show of the European OWN-Tour!! After sleeping under the stars and queuing the whole day, I got a perfect place in the front row, close to Jon…just where I wanted to be;) I had at that point probably thousands of butterflies in my stomach and now they were starting to fly around...I was so nervous and exited!

I really liked the ”copy” of Empire state building, it was huge and looked so cool. The stage was also different than last year, there were still those 2 bars on the sides but didn’t look the same. Forgive me but I don’t remember much of Sahlenes or Mel C:s performances, other that Sahlene should buy herself bigger pants..! As soon as they started to put the stage ready for BJ, my eyes were wide open again;)

Finally the intro music started...my heart was beating sooo fast at this point...it was cool to see them on the big screen getting inside the elevator and then suddenly..pling..and the door was open and there they stood in front of us and just looking over the crowd who was screaming so loud!!

A one wild night was about to begin! That’s such a great song to hear live, I can’t think of a better song to start the show. After that, we heard Bad name, IML, KTF, Prayer and Born to be my baby;) It was amazing to hear In these arms live and the highlight of the show was absolutely Wild is the wind...I prayed and wished they would play it and when they did it on the sound check, tears came into my eyes, its such a beautiful song. When Jon sang I got the girl, I´m sure he thought extra special much of Stephanie when it was her birthday!

It was great to see that they noticed  there were a lot of fans from Finland and so cute when Jon sang that Helsinki song;) Jon looked absolutely great (as always..), I just cant take my eyes off that man so forgive me...I have no idea what the other guys are doing up there during the show...LOL! Well...I think all the guys look and sound better than ever and that’s great...we sure want them to tour another 20 years don't we!!

The first encore was also a big surprise...Homebound train! How cool is that!! They also played someday...and say it isn't so and what would a BJ show be without wanted;) I really loved Tequila and twist&shout, a perfect way to end the show I think! I was in heaven that night...thank god I still had 4 more shows to look forward to..now, home for a couple of days to pack my bag and then...Destination UK!

Me and my friend Milja took a taxi to the stadium 5.00am..it was cold, VERY cold that morning!! We had to walk and jump all the time to keep us warm. There were about 10 people before us and they had made a list to write down the names in order, that was a good idea. Actually we had a list at all the shows and it worked pretty well. My first impression of the English people were that they are very nice and friendly, especially in Scotland!

I got my favorite spot again in the front row and for the first time I was looking forward to hear a support act, Matchbox 20.Delirious, from England, played first and they were ok too. MB 20 played for 1 hour and they were really good! The singer didn’t look that bad either...just ask my friend Marianne.

BJ came on stage at 8.30,started with OWN of course and then they played Raise your hands!! WOW!! Jon was wearing army pants, a brown cowboy hat and funny looking sunglasses;) I cant help falling in love was also amazing to hear before they started Bed of roses...During I got the girl Jon told us a funny story again about Stephanie and David did also comment something and they laughed and seemed to have a good time! At one point Jon also gets a wrong guitar but they find the right one after some searching.

He also tells the audience that its supposed to be summertime in Scotland and he’s freezing his ass off and asks if there is anyone who would like to give him a massage?! I wouldn’t say no! He also wore a very cute, funny hat!

After a great performance of Blaze of glory they played Lay your hands...I´ll sleep...Bad M and shout. The first encore was I´ll be there for you, one of my all time favorites. Then KTF..IML..someday and in the end Tequila and Twist&shout. I guess Jon told us at every show how to drink it also!

Well...after a great show Milja and I didn’t have the time of our lives...You see it was pouring rain and VERY cold, we asked a few police men how to get to the bus station and they told us to just follow the crowd. So we did...I guess we at some point missed the bus stop so we just walked and walked...tried to get a taxi with no luck. Suddenly we came into the town centre, had no idea where we were but we went to a hotel and asked for some information and luckily we were pretty close our hostel. Then we went to a McDonalds to get some food and then straight to bed!

3.00am..It's time to take a shower and go to the stadium...Everything went perfect and the fan club system worked very well, we got inside 15min before GA again. While we were queuing there was also a reporter to interview fans and she also took a group photo of us to the Huddersfield daily examiner that came out the same day.

The audience was really great from the beginning to the end! When BJ came on stage Jon said that there were 40.000 ppl inside and another 10.000 outside the stadium to watch the show! I also read that there were 60 disabled fans at the show and Jon had sent each of them a free BJ T-shirt that was very nice of him I think.

The set list was pretty much the same as in Glasgow but they also played Next 100 years. Jon had golden pants, a black T-shirt, cowboy hat and a jeans jacket on..

The show was really great and the audience fantastic! One lucky, lucky girl got to dance with Jon during Bed of roses...in the very end of the show one girl from the bar went to dance a hmm...pretty sexy-dance first for Richie and then for Jon! Well...she was also very lucky because Jon went to dance with her  and they danced very close before she had to leave the stage…It was a fantastic show...once again!

We heard that a LOT of people was going to come to this show so we went queuing at Friday night already, 23.00pm..It was raining but not so cold, thank god..

It all went ok until they started to let us inside the venue...they let hundreds of ppl inside at the same time!! It was horrible...pushing and panic...I never ever wanna experience that again!! Well...I was lucky to get my fave place again and after that, we sat down and tried to get some sleep..

60.000 had come to see the show tonight and when they started, everyone went crazy!! They started a little bit earlier than before, nothing extra special in the set list but Jon did surprise everyone picking up a lady from the crowd to dance BOR with him instead from the bar!

I will always treasure the moment when they played I´ll sleep...and Jon looked at me and smiled and gave me THAT look you know?? I wonder that I didn't get a heart attack..! In the end of the show Jon was also wearing a blue Oxford University T-shirt and he also said that professor Jon is here tonight? Prayer was the final song tonight, I just love the slow beginning of it when just Jon is singing, sounds amazing I think.

After one hell of a show it was time to go to our hotel, take our stuff inside the minibus and leave to Cardiff!

MILLENNIUM STADIUM , CARDIFF 17.6.2001
Delirious, MB20

Jumped straight from the minibus to queue...for the last time on this tour...It was 5.00am when we arrived to Cardiff. The day went actually very fast and I wasn’t tired at all, we had a good time in the queue and talked dirty talk with the girls!

When we got inside I saw that the roof was put on...hmm...interesting. My first thought was that maybe its warm enough that Jon could take his jacket off! I didn’t know at this point that he actually did and that it was going to be the second best show I´ve ever seen!!

It was fantastic from the beginning to the very last seconds...the audience were the best so far and the band played for almost 3 hours…Jon wished all the dads happy Father's Day and suddenly Jesse came on stage and had a few words with daddy! Then Jon took him to sit in front of Tico's drums for a while, he just sat there and smiled, so cute...no wonder when you know who the daddy is! Jon proudly presented him: That's my son Jesse James!

We also got another surprise when they played Always!! I couldn’t believe my ears when they started that song, amazing! Then the very nice moment came...Jon took his jacket off, pulled up the sleeves on his T-shirt and gave the audience a funny look! Oh man...he looks HOT!

The next great surprise was to hear These days, absolutely one of my fave songs!! Something funny also happened after they played Prayer, a guy with a red, plastic guitar ran across the stage and said something in Jon´s mic (couldn’t hear what). The band started to laugh and just looked at each other and Jon asks ”Who the hell was that?”!

I was also very happy when Jon did read our ”Cheers guys, see you next time in Finland” banner and pointed his finger on me and gave that look again! It's funny because my friend Milja never notices things like that cause she only has eyes for David and I only for Jon, then after the shows we tell each other all those great looks and moments;) We were also on the screen with that banner!

The last song they did was…a breathtaking, amazing acoustic version of Never say goodbye...havent heard anything that beautiful in years (not since Helsinki –96..).. I got tears in my eyes and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. They looked and sound so good up there, Jon and Richie...It was also so sad because it was our last show of this tour. What a perfect end for it though!! It was also our turn to say goodbye to the guys, go home and start to save money for the next tour.

I had a wonderful time and the shows were all just amazing, I am so happy that this dream came true and I am also very glad that I got to experience this with 3 funny, nice and great girls!
